Joshua A. Charlton is the VP of Sales for a Premier Craft Beer and Beverage Wholesaler- Morris Distributing (est. 1992) in the Northern California’s San Francisco Bay Area representing the counties of Sonoma, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, Mendocino and Lake Counties. Josh leads a team of 50 sales and Merchandising Personnel. Josh’s previous position was as Sales Director for North Coast Brewing Co., a Certified B Corporation crafted in Fort Bragg CA. (est. 1988), Josh has been involved in the craft beer movement since it’s earliest heydays in the early 1990’s, from sales, management and distribution, to marketing, vision and competition level judging, and is also a long-time Artisanal Cheese Guild member. Early in his career, Josh helped launch many venerable craft beer brands for one of the first California Craft only Beer Distributors- you guessed it, Morris Distributing. Josh was the first non-family salesman and sequentially sales director for Anderson Valley Brewing in the late 1990’s. He then broadened his beer horizons and moved to importing and sales of Paulaner North America in charge of the Northwestern half of the United States for Paulaner, Fullers and Hacker Pschorr. After Heineken’s purchase of Paulaner in 2003, Josh founded Pacific Libations, a specialty high-end beer brokerage for California and Nevada in 2004.  Pacific Libations opened the door to training and educating the Western US Market on Belgian, German, English and Craft distinctions of beer. Josh has worked closely with many famous brands, brewers and visionaries at Hofbrau, Ommegang, Duvel, St Feuillien, Bosteels, Maredsous, La Trappe, Saison Dupont, Young’s, Eel River, Rubicon, Green Flash, Underberg and of course North Coast Brewing Co. Josh has been with and does all things “beer” for North Coast Brewing for the past 8 years and has planned and executed over 90 beer dinners and 300 staff trainings across the United States during his career in beer.
