Daniel Pendleton

Daniel  became interested in beer and wine while living in Spain for a few years. Upon returning to Seattle he started wine education courses since they sounded more fun than law school. He completed a winemaking and viticulture internship at a small winery in the San Juan Islands, took a sommelier job at John Howie Steak in Seattle where he eventually was promoted to Wine Director overseeing all aspects of a large beverage program. When the pandemic hit, he moved to the Finger Lakes region of New York, assisting in beer and wine production at Element Winery, working as a sommelier at FLX Table and judged spirits at a regional competition. This past May he returned to the West coast, taking a sommelier position at Lazy Bear in San Francisco and in July passed the Advanced Sommelier exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers. When not working, Daniel gets out whitewater kayaking, sea kayaking, backpacking and snowboarding as often as possible.
